Canon PIXMA MG3600 Driver Download AirPrint Set Up– The Canon Pixma MG3600 is a wireless multifunctional device for people who don’t want to pay extra for features they don’t need. You won’t find an LCD control panel to perform offline operations, and there is no automatic feeder documentation (ADF) to copy or scan multi-page documents. But you get a duplexer to make two-way prints, and the MG3600 performs most tasks at higher than average speeds. Most importantly, this device provides high-quality prints.

The scanner cover occupies most of the top of the device; You lift it to reveal the scanner plate. To the left of the lid, the button control panel allows you to switch between a simple paper the size of a letter and a 4 x 6-inch photo paper, but not other sizes. There is only one piece of paper, so you’ll have to swap the photo paper when it’s time to print out the photos. You push 4 x 6-inch photo paper all the way into a paper tray, but the ridge formed by the hinge entering the tray makes it difficult to remove the extra sheets.

The control panel also has buttons for colored and black-and-white copies. Because the MG3600 doesn’t have an LCD screen, you need to press the appropriate Copy button multiple times to make multiple copies. Using the control panel, you can make copies on photo paper, but only on 4 x 6-inch photo paper. You can’t do more complex copying tasks because there’s no actual copying of the software.

The extension of the MG3600 tray swings outwards, but the two-piece output tray is quite short. It stretches long enough to support the letter prints that hang from the end.

The MG3600 is not a speed demon when printing text. At 6.4 pages per minute, it lagged at an average of 7.5 ppm for the inkjet printers we tested. The slightly more expensive HP Envy 5540 ($82.95) finished faster than 36.9 seconds. The “Silent” MG3600 slows down text printing a bit. Typically, MG3600 printed one page of text in 15.5 seconds; with the Pacific regime, it took 23.2 seconds.

The Canon Pixma MG3600 duplex printing was much slower than the HP Envy 5540, taking more than twice as long (3 minutes and 1 second) to print our five-page text document. In contrast, the MG3600 was fast in printing graphics on plain paper. He printed our six-page text and graphic document in 2 minutes 24 seconds, or 2.5 ppm, compared to an average of 2.46, or 2.2 ppm. The Canon printer was only 5 seconds slower than the HP Envy 5540, which is the fastest model we’ve tested to date.

The MG3600 printed a glossy photo about the size of a letter at an average speed of 3 minutes and 37 seconds. HP Envy 5540 posted the photo at 2.12am. However, the MG3600 lent HP 4 x 6-inch photos. It averaged 43 seconds, compared to 1.05 for Envy 5540.
