Canon PIXMA MG5620 Review– The Canon PIXMA MG5620 is an advanced wireless and multifunction printer with incredible print quality, high performance, and ease of use. Borderless photo printing is not a disappointment for the MG 5620 for a maximum print resolution of more than 4800 dpi. You can thank the technology of the PIXMA MG5620 FINE ink cartridges and the system of five separate inks that shoot 2 drops of ink.
There’s also easy-photoprint, a software that makes it easy for Canon MG5620 users to edit their photos from their mobile devices or computers with Internet access. PIXMA MG5620 offers the same quality for speed and print quality.
The borderless photo appears in 44 seconds, while the monochrome print is 12.2ipm and the color is 8.7ipm. Experience totally comfortable with Canon PIXMA MG 5620 for its automatic wireless boot that will automatically continue the command you give it. Not only do Android users have the privilege of using MG5620 without problems, but also users of iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone compatible with Apple AirPrint. You can easily create creative photo prints with this powerful multi-function printer, as it provides easy access to the My Image Garden application.
Design and functions
Like most Canon inkjet printers, the 2,400 x 1,200 pixel inch (dpi) flatbed scanner sits on top of the printer and rises through a small hole in the lid. You get a standard space of 8.5 x 11.7 inches to work here, and the company generously offers two articulated hinges at the back that allow you to lift the lid and fold it onto an extra-thick platform, such as textbooks.
As the multifunction monitor describes, the MG5620 also acts as a copier, but it does not have a tray that allows you to usually drop stacks of paper for hands-free scanning, also known as ADF or ADF.
With the single-sheet input tray, you can either copy an existing sheet or copy one sheet at a time with the scanner, which can be an immediate change if you make multiple copies. If so, stop reading here and check out the office-friendly all-in-one inkjet printers that still offer excellent print quality, but tend to offer more comfortable accessories designed for productivity.
Basic printer setup is very simple and requires little effort, especially if you start with a standard USB connection to help install drivers on a computer with a hard connection. I was able to connect it to our test computer here with Windows Vista in minutes.
It’s also easy enough to connect to a Wi-Fi network so you can access your files through cloud services like Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print, which allow you to print wirelessly from iOS devices and Google Chromebooks. Canon is also working hard to continue to improve Canon Easy-PhotoPrint, which is compatible with devices running iOS, Android and (believe it or not) Windows RT.
Once the application is installed, you can connect to most Canon Pixma or Selphy devices and print individual photos relatively easily. Canon also provides two other program titles: My Image Garden, which helps you organize and make your photos creative, and Full HD Movie Print, Canon’s proprietary software that lets you capture high-quality still images from movies shot with your Canon cameras.
The front panel has a simple 2.5-inch LCD screen that works well enough to show the details of your prints, even if you don’t do any powerful photo editing on it. The entire front rises forward, revealing five ink cartridges with pigmented black ink to help produce particularly dense text.
The cost of delivering consumables to this printer depends largely on how much you use it, but with Canon prices and page returns, we can calculate that the average page with mixed text and graphics costs you about 5 cents per page, for black ink only a cartridge; color pages are slightly cheaper, less than 3.5 cents per page per cartridge.
It’s easy to see where Canon gets their money back from the machine’s low start-up costs. Refill prices are the cost of gaming, and Canon digs a little deeper by including “starter cartridges” with fewer refills than average, but you can save a few bucks in the long run by buying Canon XL capacity cartridges that pack a little more in extra ink.
Presentation
We performed a series of speed and quality tests on the MG5620, and the results are below the acceptable range for a $ 100 inkjet printer. It averaged just under three pages per minute using two different timed color photo tests and a 10-page text document using different font sizes and fonts. Of course, if the speed takes precedence over print quality and you’re only printing text, you might want to consider investing in a laser printer like the Samsung ML-M2020W black and white printer.

The built-in driver lets you scroll through the various printing features to save ink remaining, and you’re more than happy with the printer’s color reproduction – the darker dots on the sample image are dense and harmless from leaking colors. Bright colors appear as they should, and the text is well formatted up to smaller font sizes.
