IJ Start Canon PIXMA MG7140 Configuration– The Canon Pixma MG7140 BK Wireless Photo All-in-one printer is an attractive multifunction printer (MFP) that is mainly used for home use. It offers excellent output quality, excellent document printing speed and a rather basic feature set. The MG 7120 can be printed, copied and scanned. It can print from and check on memory card, and check with attachment to email; on a PC; or a network drive. You can preview images on the 3.5-inch LCD touch screen. The SD/SDHC, Memory Stick, Microdrive, XD/Picture card family and CompactFlash also have a memory card reader that supports formatting.

The MG 7120 is black with a front and side light glossy. (a white version of the printer is also available.) The center of the front panel is a 3.5 “touch screen. The printer does not have a physical button. The top lid hides the flatbed. There is no automatic document feeder to scan multi-page documents easily.

The weight of the MG 7120 is 5.9 x 18.6 x 14.6 inches (HWD) and weighs 18.1 lbs. This product contains a 125-sheet base paper tray and 20 sheets of 4×6 size paper or a photo tray that can contain 10 sheets of 5×7 size. can also be printed on optical discs. It has an automatic duplexer for printing on both sides of the paper.

Inkjet MFP is efficiently designed with two trays stacked under the folded output tray. There are six ink tanks in the MG 7120. Pigment black (for text printing); Yellow Xi’an Magenta Dye black; and Gray; Two of the latter for improving photo quality.

You can use the software suite’s programs to set up text and images to print from an optical disc and select a layout template. With my image garden, you can organize your photos and use them easily in your creative projects.

Mobile Printing
This AirPrint-compatible MFP provides access to Pixma Cloud link, which allows you to print photos such as online photo albums, Office templates, and more without a computer. There is a Google cloud print that lets you send documents to a printer from a web-connected computer, smartphone, or device. PIXMA supports printing Solutions (PPS). With this solution, you can print and scan photos or documents from your mobile device.

This printer provides Wi-Fi and USB connections. I tested it over a USB connection using a driver that was installed on a PC running Windows Vista.

Print speed
The 7120 is the latest version of the business application suite provided by the hardware and software of Qualitylogic, which has printed inkjet MFP prices at speeds of up to 2.5 p m (pages per minute). We have calculated HP Photo smart 7520 e All-in-one cost with 3.7 p m. The low cost Canon Pixma 5520 is rotated at a speed of 2.6 p m. The editors ‘ Choice Canon Pixma MX922 $138.00, has been tested with 2.4 p m, even though it is widely used for home use.

Output quality
Overall output quality was higher than that of inkjet with average text and graphics quality and above-average photo quality. Text quality is good for standard home, school, or business use, but text quality will not be used for documents such as resumes that are intended to give a better visual impression.

For graphics, the colors generally look good, but in many illustrations, the background is slightly muted. In one picture, a thin line of color almost disappeared. Many illustrations have been dithered in the form of elevations.

Photo quality has jumped more than inkjet and is better than a pharmacy print. The monochrome picture was red, but it was subtle enough to pay attention to some of the eyes. Among the six ink tanks are the dye ink tanks for black and gray, so only the text is displayed in addition to the pigment black. The printout showed great detail in both bright and dark areas, with the exception of one sheet of printouts where details were lost in the bright areas. One printed copy showed a slight posterization and showed a drastic change in color that would gradually change gradually. In general, consumers must be satisfied with the print quality of the MG 7120.

Maintenance cost
The cost per printed page of the MG 7120, based on the Canon price and yield of the most economical cartridges, is 4.6 cents per solid page and 13.5 cents per color page.

The MG 7120 is a handsome, feature-friendly, home-centric MFP with a solid output quality based on good photo quality. It is no longer than other Canon Inkjet MFP we have reviewed including Canon Pixma mg 5520 and Canon m x 922, but the price is cheap. It also shares the solid output quality with the above photos.
